Why This Grant Matters
The Ontario government is investing $7.5 million through the Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC), managed by the Ontario Centre of Innovation, to help small and mid-sized retailers and manufacturers modernize operations using digital tools.
Eligible businesses can receive matching grants through three funding streams:
Digital Modernization & Adoption Plan (DMAP)
Funding up to $15,000
Consultant-led digital planning with a qualified DCC digital adoption consultant — requires partnering with an approved consultant.
Technology Demonstration Program
Funding up to $100,000
Funding to implement advanced digital technologies — must first complete a DMAP and generate at least $500K in annual revenue.
Retail Modernization Grant
Funding up to $5,000
Supports retailers adopting e-commerce, CRM, or inventory management tools — available to businesses with 1–50 employees and under $5M in revenue.
